Bio

My name is Thomas Bullock. I was born in a very windy part of Wales in 1988, to Cornish and Kiwi parents. I lived there, as an infant, for just long enough to get accustomed to the rumble of jet fighters practising valley-fu on each other all day (how I miss that rumble!) and then was whisked back to New Zealand, which is a pretty cool country and doesn't afraid of anything (except losing at sports, which bore me anyway.)

I frittered my early youth away by reading and drawing butterflies and battleships. I once drew so many battleships that everything I ate for a week afterwards tasted like battleships.

I was homeschooled just long enough to have no media influence (except Biggles and Swallows And Amazons, pip pip) and then released into captivity, where other kids found me hilarious, and I found them unsettling and covered in mud. Filthy beggars.

Once I stopped wearing checked shirts and began to substitute structured conversation for my more usual snippets from encyclopaedias - and being a hopelessly rebellious yet impressionable lad - I became a sort of goth for a while. I eventually decided it wasn't very fun, and stopped. But it got me back into loud noises, the noises of jet planes and warfare and vibrant emotion and angry kids whining about junk that didn't matter.

I'm not sure how that got me to where I am now, but there was a long interlude of lounging about on sofas, reading, gaming, watching horrifying things from Japan, consuming most of the internet, and listening to all the noises I could get my hands on. Now I make this stuff. Go listen to some! It's good for the soul or something.

Below is a picture of me not eating food, with a guitar and ear-cutlery.

In this photograph, I appear unusually orange.
